Honda Distributor Rotor
The ignition performance of your Honda hinges on the operation of its numerous ignition parts such as the Honda spark plug, the Honda distributor, and the Honda distributor rotor. These ignition components all contribute to ensuring that the ignition system will operate well and your auto will easily start at the right time. The distributor rotor is actually a component of the distributor which helps in sending high voltage to your vehicle’s spark plugs. The rotor and the rest of the components of the distributor are well-protected by the distributor cap.

The
Honda distributor rotor typically features a rotating arm that is fitted inside the distributor cap. This functional arm is on top of the shaft and is insulated from the body of your automobile. The rotating arm has a metal part and this part contacts the central high voltage cable from the coil thru the spring-loaded carbon brush. This specific metal component has to pass the output contacts that connect via the high tension cables to the spark plug. A rotor is expected to spin all the time. With every spin, electrical current is created which jumps the small gaps which are produced between the arm and the contacts.
The rotor being a component of the ignition system has its drawbacks, as this can easily succumb to the numerous pressures which are present in the said system. Most of the time, your Honda’s stock distributor rotor can burn out on its tip or the center electrode may burn out the center of the distributor rotor. Once these happen, it is best to replace your stock Honda distributor rotor with a new one coming from us.
